I get the struggle—because I’ve been there.
Building a private practice exciting but can also be overwhelming, isolating, and downright confusing. You’re expected to be a counsellor, a marketer, an administrator, and a business owner… all at once.
Without the right support, it’s easy to feel like giving up—or to burn out trying to figure it all out on your own.
But it doesn’t have to be that way.
Whether it’s through supervision, training, or The Counsellor’s Chair framework, I’m here to offer guidance that’s practical, ethical, and achievable.
Let’s build a practice that supports you, not just your clients

My first career was in customer service and retail—helping people, solving problems, managing chaos. But it wasn’t until I stepped into counselling that everything clicked.
Over the past decade, I’ve supported clients in schools and private practice, trained the next generation of counsellors, and guided professionals through supervision and business growth. I’ve worked in city settings and regional communities, in-person and online, one-on-one and in large groups.
My work is grounded, compassionate, and focused on what really helps—not just what looks good on paper
I came into counselling after facing profound personal loss. Losing both of my parents in my early 20s changed everything. Without support, I stumbled through life for quite a while. Years later, it was counselling that helped me find my footing—and I knew I wanted to give that kind of support to others.
That personal experience, paired with my professional journey, fuels everything I offer today: a steady, non-judgemental space where people can grow, reflect, and find their way forward—both in life and in their careers.
It is a privilege to journey with Aussie Counsellors through the Seasons of their counselling careers.

Working with Penny has been an invaluable part of my professional journey. Her guidance, insight, and unwavering support have not only deepened my clinical knowledge but also helped me establish my private practice with confidence. Through monthly group supervision, she fosters a space of learning, reflection, and growth. Her ability to share wisdom with clarity and compassion is truly inspiring.

I had the privilege to learn from Penny as my supervisor and also in attending the workshop run by Penny on the fundamentals of Private Practice and it’s been invaluable. Rebranding my practice was a big step and at times overwhelming, I reached out to Penny to help me set up my business, and navigate the new season and it was very beneficial. Thank you Penny for all your input and encouragement along the way. I appreciate your support, non judgmental stance, kindness and valuable pointers.
